As many as are mature, should share Paul's willingness to suffer & die for Christ & make every effort to be more like Him as they mature in their Christian life. This is a the mature view of the Christian faith. The Apostle Paul states that those who are full grown, will see that this is the only logical & reasonable response to the One who shed His life-blood for all of us on Calvary.

If in any of you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. Paul also realizes that every one will not agree with him, in adopting such a dangerous philosophy. But he expresses the confidence that if a person is really willing to know the truth of the matter, God will reveal it to them. One reason why we have such an easy-going, complacent Christianity today is because we do not want to know the truth; we are not willing to obey the demands of ideal Christianity. God is willing to show the truth to those who are willing to follow it.

God will reveal His will to you if you want to be led. I hear so many Christians say if I only knew the will of God. It is a matter of being in touch with the Lord Jesus. It is a matter of drawing close to Him. It is a willingness to do His will when He shows it to you. There is no little formula in discovering the will of God. One cannot live a careless life & expect a vision or an angel or some green light to appear to show the way to go in a crisis. Knowing the will of God comes from a day to day walk with Him & a willingness to be led by Him. This will keep you on the right track of life, & will be a great joy to your heart.

Then Paul adds that, in the meantime, we should live up to whatever direction the Lord has given us. It would not do for us to sit & do nothing until we come into a fuller knowledge of what is required of us as a Christian.

While we wait for the Lord to reveal the full implications of the cross to us, we should obey whatever degree of the truth we have received. We should trust Him with our lives, & know without a doubt that He died for us that we may have eternal life, all we have to do is accept it.
